Why Osinbajo, Ngige not involved in Tinubu’s campaign – Keyamo

1 min read

Festus Keyamo, the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) Presidential Campaign Council, has explained why Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is not involved in the party’s campaign.

He said Osinbajo is acting under the directive of the President Muhammadu Buahri.

Giving instances of former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Keyamo said the former Rivers Governor chooses what rally to attend while Minister of Labour and employment Senator Chris Ngige decided to stay off for reasons best known to him.

But for the Vice President, he said he is not involved because he was assigned to focus on governance

According to him, “Rotimi Amaechi (former Minister of Transportation) was there in Adamawa State and Jos recently; he has been going to the rallies but he has picked the ones he wants to attend.

“For the Vice President, it was a directive for him to face governance, and you can see Mr President has been going round campaigning. Also, Ngige is not campaigning against our party, he just said he will remain neutral for his own reasons and that is just one minister out of 43.

“We have an absolutely strong coalition in the APC unlike the PDP that has virtually collapsed.”
