Election Petition Tribunal

The Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal—PEPT, says it has not set an official date which it will deliver judgment on the petition filed by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party–LP, Mr Peter Obi and his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenging the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last election.

Though, this is coming after it was reported in some section of the media (not NewsBand) that the tribunal has set 16 of September as the official date to deliver ruling on the petitions.

But a reliable source from PEPT told NewsBand Newspaper that the September 16 date is fake and the Judges are yet to set a date which they will rule on the matter.

The source said, “The news is fake. Date has not been set”.
