It is my turn to be Senate President, says Orji Kalu

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, on Tuesday declared that it is his turn to become the Senate President.

Kalu made the declaration while fielding questions from newsmen at the National Assembly.

The former governor of Abia state urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone the seat to his village in Igbere in Abia North Senatorial District.

He said with his position as the Chief Whip of the ninth Senate, he is the most ranking Senator from the South East and therefore deserves the position.
