Wanted terrorists Abu Na-Iraqi and Abu Na-Masari killed in Katsina

The Police Command in Katsina State says it has repelled a terrorists attack and killed two wanted terrorists on Tuesday.

“The two notorious terrorists were identified as Abu Na-Iraqi and Abu Na-Masari,” the command spokesman, Gambo Isah said in a statement issued to newsmen in Katsina.

Mr Isah, a superintendent of police, said that the wanted terrorists were killed when they attacked Sokoto Rima quarters in Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.

“On December 13, 2022 at about 7:30p.m, a distress call was received that terrorists in their numbers, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Sokoto-Rima Quarters, Dutsinma LGA, with intent to kidnap some residents.

“Subsequently, the Area Commander Dutsinma and his team swiftly moved to the area, engaged the terrorists in a gun duel, neutralized two notorious terrorists on the wanted list of the police,” Mr Isah stated.

He added that two AK 47 rifles were recovered from them.

“Search parties are still combing the area with a view of arresting other members of the syndicate who fled the scene with gunshot wounds,” he added.
