JUST IN: Court remands embattled AGF in prison for N109.4b fraud

The embattled former Accountant General of the Federation, Idris has been remanded in prison custody by a High Court sitting in Abuja over his alleged illegal diversion of public funds to the tune of N109.4 billion.

He was arraigned on a 14-count bordering on conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and money laundering.

Justice A.O. Adeyemi Ajayi who remanded the former AGF and other defendants in the matter, said they remain in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service till Wednesday when their bail applications would be heard.
