The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended further collation of results in Obingwa LGA in Abia and Nsukka and Nkanu East LGAs in Enugu.

Festus Okoye, INEC national commissioner and chairman, information and voter education committee, announced the development in a statement on Monday.

He said the commission made the decision after it met to review the conduct of the governorship and state assembly elections held nationwide on March 18.

Meanwhile, the collation of results in Enugu State which was supposed to continue Monday morning have been stalled following controversies trailing the result from Nkanu East Local Government Area of the State.

News Band Newspaper gathers that the Enugu Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, and the State Returning Officer have disagreed on the way forward.

While the REC is said to be disposed to announcing the result, the Returning Officer feels the Nkanu East result cannot be accepted since BVAS was not used.

He is also against the over voting which were some of the issues and objections against the result.
