Senator Dino Melaye, the spokespersons for Atiku, Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has urged voters in Delta State not to vote for a mace thief.

The Kogi born politician was making reference to the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Delta State, Ovie Omo-Agege who is known for snatching legislative mace during a face-off at the national assembly in 2019.

Melaye also called Omo-Agege, a Deputy Senate President, ‘nepotism pro max’.

His statement is contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The former lawmaker accused Omo-Agege of cornering all the allocated federal projects to his home town, Orogun.

According to Melaye, the five projects were: Defence Space Academy, Law School, Jamb CBT center, Oil and Gas Industrial Park and Independent Power Plant.

He wrote, “Don’t vote a mace thief.”
