Hoodlums suspected to be loyal to the former governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani, have allegedly attacked Peter Obi supporters who gathered for a meeting in Agwu Local Government Area of Enugu State on the 4th of September, 2022.

In a video exclusively obtained by News Band, canopies and chairs at the venue of the meeting were destroyed while some members of Peter Obi support group sustained bruises during the attack.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate incident has been confirmed in a statement by Agwu Local Government Area coordinator of Peter Obi Support Network (POSN), comrade Collins Odunga.

Odunga while describing the attack as unacceptable and undemocratic, however, called for calm and peace among the Obidient family as they wait for instruction from the top echelon of the support group.

He said, “I comrade Collins Odunga, the POSN Coordinator of Awgu LGA wish to commiserate with the Awgu ward1, Obidients family over the attack against them during their monthly meeting yesterday, 4/9/22 by unknown (but known) gunmen. It’s quite unfortunate, unacceptable and undemocratic.

“This attack is timely, as it is a forerunner to the fact that ebeano and all it is known for is back. They are insisting that Enugu state belong to PDP and no other party. However, this is a sign of colossal failure on their own, all power belongs to God.

“I plead for calmness and peace in Awgu LGA of Enugu state from the Obidient family as we wait for our management direction and reaction.”

Ebeano was widely known for their political thuggery when senator Chimaroke Nnamani who is the founding father of the movement was the governor of Enugu State.

News Band reports that Chimaroke Nnamani of recent, has been attacking Peter Obi and his growing supporters after he described them as noisy, loud, intolerant and proselytizers.

He also claimed that the Obidient supporters constitute less than 0.25percent of 200 million population of Nigeria.

Chimaroke maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has laid foundation in the state which they will never allow another party to take over at all cost.
