Disabled passenger abandoned in the plane

A quadriplegic woman was left on a plane at Gatwick Airport in the UK for more than 1.5 hours, after staff failed to escort her off.

“They were busy elsewhere,” Victoria Brignell told the BBC, after the story of her mistreatment went viral thanks to a friend’s tweet. The woman praised British Airways for taking care of her while she waited to disembark.

Gatwick issued an apology via Twitter, saying they are investigating the incident, and partially blamed the “well-documented pressures of the aviation sector.”
